The Vessel
We will be fishing out of a spotless 27.5 foot 2011 Kingfisher Aluminum fishing boat built to handle any weather that the west coast can throw at us. Powered by a well maintained Mercury 250 horsepower 4 stroke engine with a Mercury 15 horsepower 4 stroke kicker for trolling.
The vessel is equipped with a satellite phone, VHF marine radio, latest Lowrance HDS fish finders x 3 with side scan and Radar, Pioneer stereo, flushing toilet, fridge, sink with running water, BBQ, Ace line hauler for crab trap retrieval, Scotty high performance downriggers, Espar diesel heater for a warm comfortable ride throughout the day and all required safety equipment to ensure a safe wonderful day on the water.
The boat and all safety equipment is commercially registered through transport Canada and as the guide and boat owner I have the following certifications to ensure your safety on a day aboard my charter.
- BC first aid, CPR
- Marine Emergency duties (A3)
- Small vessel operating proficiency (SVOP)
- Marine Radio Communications (ROC)M

Gear
The fishing gear I provide is all top of the line well maintained equipment and I take great pride in keeping it that way with regular maintenance and high end purchases.
Salmon rods are all 9-11 foot G-Loomis mooching rods paired with Islander MR3 mooching reels spooled with 30lb big game monofilament line with 6-7 foot 40lb leader`s to minimize chances of that fish of a life time getting away.
Halibut & bottom fishing rods are also G-Loomis Halibut rods paired with Penn two speed level wind reels and 150pound braided line to ensure there are no worries about the gear failing once you are hooked onto one of the BARN DOORS that call these waters home.
